Super Bowl?
I have read several posts on the Super Bowl this morning. Haven't found much analysis of the Eagles strengths and Patriots weaknesses, except, of course, at ESPN, et. al. Have found a lot of anticipation about the commercials. And, needless to day, some about last year's halftime "exposure."
This says a lot about us as a nation. When I visited the Soviet Union in 1991, at one point the group I was with (as a foreign visitor, you went nowhere alone in the Soviet Union) was offered options one day, shopping or visiting the former summer residence of the Tsars up river from town. 90% of the delegation went shopping. Very few of us went to the imperial summer digs.
I do love the economic engine this country has, but sometimes I really wish I could JUST watch a good football game.
