I Don't Know What's Worse
There are so may things wrong with this story.
Frog cocktails are popular in the Andes because of their supposed aphrodisiac qualities. Shops in central Lima selling the drinks have tanks where customers can choose their frogs. What's love got to do with it? But that is not the crime here -- No, it was that they were using endangered frogs.
Peruvian officials saved some 4,000 endangered frogs from being whizzed into popular drinks after they were found hidden in an abattoir.I'll be honest, I think 4000 is enough to take them off the endangered list, particularly as fast as frogs reproduce. Then check this:
They were taken to a colonial fountain in central Lima to splash around before being returned to their native lakes by ecological police.Ecological Police?! Now that really is scary.
