He 'Craps' Out

Ok, It's a somehwat obscure and borderline profane gambling reference to the fact that "sevens" seem to be running all over the blogosphere -- so I thought I'd bite. I first saw it at Allthings2all but it's been everywhere lately. So, without further ado, and in no particular order, The SEVEN SEVENS

1. Seven things to do before I die

  • Visit the pyramids in Egypt (and the Valley of the Kings for that matter)
  • Read "The History of the English Speaking Peoples" (Churchill)
  • Write and have published a superhero comic book miniseries
  • Learn to fly
  • Build a custom car from scratch - something between a hot rod and a street rod -- good-looking, drivable, and fast
  • Visit Florence/Milan/Venice
  • Get my wife a diamond tennis bracelet, bezel set, to match her necklace and earrings.

2. Seven things I cannot do

  • Speak another language fluently. (well actually not much beyond a few phrases)
  • Play a musical instrument (why dear God do I love music so much but am so miserable at making it?)
  • Type well (as any regular reader of this blog knows!)
  • Roll my tongue (I lack the genetic make-up)
  • Listen to Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech without crying
  • Watch a Colts game from beginning to end this season - lest I jinx them
  • Dance and resemble anything that appears vaguely human

3. Seven things that attract me to my spouse.

  • Her faith, and the risks she has taken for it
  • Her integrity
  • Her beauty
  • Her creativity
  • Her supportiveness
  • Her ability to overcome her fears
  • The fact that she is a lot smarter than she thinks she is.

4. Seven things I say most often

  • Oops
  • Oh hell...
  • I hate it when that happens
  • I love you honey
  • Okay...
  • I don't write the regulations, it's just my job to keep you out of trouble
  • What casues that?

5. Seven books (or series) I love (I'm limiting myself to fiction)

  • Batman - The Dark Knight Returns
  • The Chronicles of Narnia
  • X-Men - The Dark Phoenix Saga
  • The Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt books
  • DC Comics - Crisis on Infinite Earths
  • The Tom Clancy Jack Ryan books
  • The Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books (I never actually read them, but they kept my little sister out of my hair for hours when we were kids)

6. Seven movies I watch over and over again (or would watch over and over if I had the time)

  • Caddyshack
  • Animal House
  • Spider-man
  • Spider-man 2
  • Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan
  • any Monty Python film
  • Virtually all the Bond films

7. Seven people I want to join in, too

Your turn!
