A Great Question
Reliable Adrian Warnock asks a great question in a post today.
The question I would ask is, how do we get thicker skins? How do we learn that opposition is not definitionally unloving?
...thus if one passionately believes ones colleague is wrong then loyalty at that point means pointing out the error of his ways. For a Christian the next question is how do we do that and still love the person?I do not have much issue with this. It is rare that I have a dislike or hatred for an opponent in a discussion. Generally, in discussion in church when people accuse me of being "unloving," they are simply making an accusation because they do not have a reliable counterargument. Because they just "feel" they are right. (See next post)
