Bloggers Treasure Trove

The New York Times was a treasure trove of misleading or biased headlines and reporting this morning. Here are some examples:
Suspect in 10 Kansas Murders Lived an Intensely Ordinary Life
That headline strikes me as a direct swipe at people who try to spend their lives being ordinary, productive citizens. As if hiding behind every hard-working, church-going, child-rearing family is a serial killer. I was wondering when the bohemian left was going to try this after the BTK killer was found.

Then there is this:
Who Wins in a New Social Security?
The very headline belies a bias. If you never read the article, you come away thinking that President Bush is trying to take from some and give to others. The idea that EVERYONE could come out a winner is driven from your mind. That's actually true if you read the article too.

Finally, there is this little gem:
As Clinton Wins G.O.P. Friends, Her Rivals' Task Toughens
Can this headline be designed to do anything but plant into peoples minds that Hillary is the great centrist? Look, I have no doubt some Republicans somewhere will back her, but she is one of the most polarizing figures in American political history. She is to many Republicasn the embodiment of vile. Give me a break.

Never unbiased, is the NYTimes going the way of the LATimes?
