Of Intolerance
By now the mantra is old..."Tolerance, tolerance, tolerance," or "close-minded." To not allow gays to marry is "discriminatory and intolerant." These charges are now so common that one almost does not hear them. What is amazing is that they come from the same people that do things like this, and this. The first link is to an article about Marines driving foreign cars, or cars with pro-Bush bumper stickers no longer being allowed to park in a UAW-owned lot. The second story is about radical action that the Boy Scouts are having to take to avoid legal action by the ACLU. (HT: SmartChristian)
So, let me get this straight -- I have to tolerate seeing two men kiss in the street, but you do not have to tolerate a bumper sticker? Your private organization can ban United States Marines from its parking lot, but my private organization must allow homosexuals into it's membership.
I don't know what's worse here the intolerance or the sheer selfishness.
