Policing Instead Of Parenting
An attorney says he plans legal action against police officers who handcuffed an unruly 5-year-old girl after she acted up in her kindergarten class.
The child was as unruly as can be and assualted the teacher. The teacher should have been able to handle this, but the parents should have seen to it that the child was either raised well enough to know better, or found other than such public arrangements for a child that could not behave for some reason. The cops were just doing their job. They are required by regulation to handcuff assualt suspects. Most telling quote in the piece:

The child's mother was called but wasn't able to immediately come to the school.I thought so -- don't blame the cops.
