Forgive me for lapsing into inarticulateness, but when I read this and this I have but a single response -- DUMBASS!
And while we are on the topic, even with the new "data" from the killer, his actions will never be understood. I have some experience with crazy (a close relative, certificable for 40 years, never violent to this level, but has been jailed a couple of times for assault) - crazy is by definition the absence of reason and no amount of reason will be able to describe, understand, or sadly in my opinion, prevent it. It's called evil, even if just an "illness" it is an evil "illness."
Science voodoo - it's another model based on assumptions, tuned to give the result desired.

What could possibly go wrong? Which is the question one should ask oneself whenever contamplating a SciFi movie script. These guys should have asked it. So should these people - "The House That Ate The Fat Guy" - I'm wiritng it.

If you have seen "Snakes On A Plane" then you know - this will be terribly effective.
