Comic Art

Nowadays, when you look for info on Rama-Tut you tend to get Kang stuff, like Rama is just a footnote. That fact is a crying shame, because Rama is where most people my age first encountered the character, in the comic book you see below, the legendary Fantastic Four #19.
In the early days of the Marvel=sparked Silver Age of comics, Marvel tried to do TV animation. The budget was so thin they made Clutch Cargo look good. (Go ahead, follow the link, you will not believe your eyes.)

Anyway, there is really not much to tell about Rama-Tut, in the end he was just yet another ploy of Kang's to conquer, time the universe and everything (Where is Douglas Addams when you needs him?)
Nonetheless, he is a fond memory of those bygone days when comics were innocent and he is a character that echoes through comics even today, having some role in the whole X-Men-villian-Apocopypse thing that I missed (not a huge X-Man fan here, reading Chris Claremont can be a bit like an acid trip - it gets old after a while.)
Besides, how can you beat ancient Egypt for an exotic comic setting!
