Missing Dad
Mrs. Blogotional penned this remembrance of my dad for both of us:
WE MISS YOU
We keep hearing echoes of the past
Bits, pieces flying at us,
Little snatches.
We find ourselves in the middle of momentous rushes,
Suspended in grief, in time.
We remember little phrases, moments
And we are transported back.
Back to the time
When our lives seemed made of whole cloth
Not rent in two.
Back to the time
When our life flowed,
And seemed to make sense
Not this rushing, whirling maelstrom of darkness.
To lose someone you love
Is to face all those voices in the night
It is to face days edged with sadness.
We miss you.
The impact of your life
Will continually be unfolding before us.
We pray for grace
To miss you and find the sunlight.

To miss you and find the sunlight.
